Research has shown community gardens helps to develop children’s overall wellbeing*. As children engage in community gardens, they develop a desire to eat healthy, exercise, build confidence, increase reasoning and planning abilities, relieve stress, improve focus and memory, positively impact moods and psychological wellbeing. Because of the times we are living in, children are faced with intense adversity and are forced to make major decisions at young ages. Community gardens is a way C.H.I.N.O. is reaching out to help improve the totality of our children so they will grow to become positive influential citizens.
